Brett A McCall

Technical Customer Success Manager | Adoption + GRR | Health Scoring + QBRs

I drive implementation success and sustained adoption by pairing technical fluency with behavior-change enablement, translating usage signals into QBRs, renewal confidence, and expansion readiness across AI, developer tools, and platform products.

About

Current Focus

Seeking a Technical Customer Success Manager or Technical Account Manager role at a mission-driven, high-growth SaaS company (roughly 25–500 people), especially in AI platforms and developer tools/observability. I bring 10+ years building and scaling high-touch customer experiences where success depends on implementation quality, adoption behavior change, clear usage and health signals, and calm escalation leadership. I’m strongest in the messy middle between humans and systems: onboarding readiness, remote troubleshooting, champion programs, and Voice-of-Customer loops that improve both customer outcomes and the product. Location-wise I’m flexible and willing to relocate, with Vancouver, Seattle/Bellevue, SF Bay Area, and NYC at the top. If that sounds like the kinds of teams your network touches, I'd love to connect.

"If the speaker doesn't feel safe, the audience won't feel anything."

The challenge wasn't just putting on an event; it was designing a system that could survive leadership turnover. We engineered a reusable playbook for coaching, stage design, and video production that removed fragility from the process.

Philanthrosphere Dashboard

Philanthrosphere

Reducing development cycles by 30% through ruthless subtraction.

Role Product Lead
Result -30% Dev Time
Constraint Legacy Codebase
User Non-Profit Admins
NOTE: The decision wasn't the feature — it was the constraint we chose. We killed 40% of the "roadmap" on day one.

Legacy fundraising tools were clunky. We didn't add AI or blockchain; we streamlined the "Donor Loop"—the core repeatable behavior of the user. By optimizing database queries and removing "nice-to-haves," we increased data entry compliance significantly.

User Remote Agile Teams
"Spatial context transforms data into a landscape you can remember."

Remote work is flat. By moving project planning into a spatial environment where users could "walk" through their timeline, we triggered spatial memory, making complex project states intuitive to grasp in seconds.

Operating Principles

Outcomes over Output

I don't measure success by code shipped, but by behavior changed.

Clear is Kind

Ambiguity is the enemy of velocity. I force clarity early.

Systemic Safety

Teams only take risks when they feel psychologically safe.

Practical Magic

Technology should feel like magic, but build like a brick house.

Let's Build.

I am currently open to Head of Product or Senior PM roles in mission-driven organizations.
